The Bell: Peanut Butter Jelly Time & More!

A couple of nights ago Nayeli was snacking on a pb&j sandwich.  I was making Austin's only to turn around and see this!

Normally I may scold such an action, as Nayeli is 20 months old and really does know that food does NOT go in hair.

Instead though I grabbed the camera and took a few pictures.

It calmed me down, and I don't think she minded the reaction either.
Right afterward she was placed in the shower and hosed down.
What a girl!!

SOME NEW THINGS
Nayeli
-says new words...  new sentences really, they include
dance, up, down, hungy, food, walk, walking
-repeats one through ten crystal clear and sometimes even jumps the gun by saying the number that comes next before we can
-is learning the parts of her body quite well, the newest part she learned is her elbows
-calls all stuffed animals, and most real ones monkies or doggies... she knows what ducks are too
-when she passes by strangers stops and tilts her head to the side and smiles with her lips closed, then tilts her head to the other side and smiles with her teeth showing
-says down when she's down eating and wants to get out of the high chair, but she says it when she wants you to lift her up too
-says hungry when she's hungry and food when you put her in her high chair.
-says "bite" when she wants your food.
-calls herself lalehla
every time she sees herself in the mirror or a pic of herself on the wall or anywhere else she says it repeatedly
-when asked how she was doing the other day by our neighbor said, "doin' good!"
-when I put Austin's dinner plate in front of him last night said, "gimme some of that!"

Below is Nayeli with her Great Grandma Glora.
We enjoyed some IHOP a few days after Kheaven was born.
Nayeli enjoyed the extra attention and I enjoyed the company and help!

Pic#1 Nayeli ALL wet after a fun walk in the rain!
Pic#2 A BIG smile from the little princess while I was trying to get some shots of all three kids.  My finger was covering the flash on this one, so to recover what I could I cropped the other two out (there were better pix of them) and saved this GREAT smile in a pic of it's own!
Pic#3 While playing out in our backyard Nayeli spotted some birds.  She was so excited!!  She kept pointing to each new one shouting "doggyyyy, doggyyy, hiiiiiii!"

On a little bit of a sad note, Nayeli got her biggest owwy ever the other morning.  :-S
I was feeding Kheaven at 4:00am and heard a big THUMP come from the kid's room.  It was follwed by the most pitaful, painful cry.  :-(
I went in to find Nayeli trying to climb back in her bed, poor thing.
She wasn't so difficult to comfort and in the wee hours of the morning my eyes could not spot where she got hurt...  When we woke up I saw THIS!

I guess it's not so bad considering Austin's first BIG owwy involved stiches!
That was on his 18 month b-day when he ran into a bookshelf at the church daycare!

I can't end on a sad note.

I find her smile is absolutely amazing! She steals my heart everyday!

52 Weeks: 2 of 52

My mind is on babies!  That includes me as a baby.  :-)
This is a picture of me before I could take any pictures myself.

This is Kheaven!  I thought I could compare a little.  ;-)
(I happen to think we look a little similar as babies!  :-D)

Austin and Nayeli
Not looking too much like they're mama at birth.
What they lack in looks they make up for in personality...
or so I'm told.

That's all for now.
:-)
Nothing like a little blogging in the wee hours of the morning after a feeding.

Mama in love all over again!
AMAZING!!!

Super happy big bro Austin!

Sweet big sister, loving her new little brother.

I am so exhausted.  Something like four hours of sleep within the past 48 hours plus.  I wanted to share the news though!  I am so insanely happy and every time I take time to sit still and quiet my mind I have tears well up!  I am so blessed to have another precious baby, and some of the best "babies" already at home.  We're so happy!  I know there are going to be a lot of new adventures with THREE.  I am ready!

Glory to God!

SOOC Saturday - Peaceful Slumber

The kids back in March when we were in CA visiting family.  They were quite tuckered out from a day of fun and lots and lots of attention from  their grandparents, cousins and other friends.  ;-)

And if tonight my soul may find her peace
in sleep, and sink in good oblivion,
and in the morning wake like a new-opened flower
then I have been dipped again in God, and new-created.

I'm Gonna Miss THIS Moment! Week 1

Actually, it's You're Gonna Miss This Moment, but I'm speaking for myself.  ;-)

This summer I got to go back to my home state and visit the fam. One of the days we all got together for a picnic! The picture above is of all but two of my Grammy and Grandpa's grandchildren/great grandchildren.  (Well, I guess we're missing one great grandchild, but he doesn't really show up as more than a belly bump in most pictures yet.)

I love all of my cousin's, from the one who just turned 18 and graduated (not pictured) to the littlest who is my own son's age.  :-)  I have had so much fun watching all of them come into the world and grow and grow.  I know that someday all of us will be grown up and I may not see them or get to play with them anymore.  I hope we always stay in touch though.  They are beautiful little spirits with great families, and all together we're a great family!

I will miss moments like this summer's picnic.

To share moments you know you'll be missing someday, but of course are so grateful for now, while they are happening, go over to Pam's blog and let the rest of us know what's on your mind and heart.

As for my friends and fam who don't use blogger, go ahead and e-mail me.  I love a good reminiscent moment or story!  ;-)

Photo Flashback Friday: The Cap and Gown

Friday Photo Flashback
Alicia at More than Words is hosting Flashback Fridays, and what a fun thing for Fridays to be!

Looking back can remind us of how things were good or bad, and by knowing where we are now we can see that either we are blessed to be at a better place, or if we aren't at a better place we can be grateful for those past memories to help us through!  We can then look to the future and know that things can be good again!

1984                                                                       2003
The first picture of the little girl in the graduation cap and heels is me, at a whole four years old!  So eager to grow up, or maybe just to play dress up!  :-)  Being the daughter of the oldest of five children let me attend a few grad ceremonies...  Probably about four, by the time I was four.  No wonder I wanted to model after them!  ;-)

The second picture, all grown up!..  Or so I thought.  I was happy and proud to be graduating.  High school wasn't the easiest time of my life, and by the time senior year came around I had to work to graduate.  I did work, and thank the Lord, working worked for me!  Pictured with me was my best friend from Junior High through High School, Emily.

I am reminded of how fast time goes by looking at these photos.  I am reminded as well that no matter what was happening in life at any given point there was always time to stop and smile for the camera.  ;-)

If you wanna join in the flashback fun please go to Alicia's blog on linkup with Mr. Linky so we can all enoy reveling in eachother's memories!

Thankful Thursday! Autumn is Here... Almost.

I would like to start Thankful Thursday!

**Thankful Thursday is a day to blog about something you are thankful for, or to recall a blessing in your life! There is so much negativity in the world and I think everyday would be better if we could remember more of the good, and see that others experience it as well. :-D Please blog about your thanks/blessing and then link to McLinky.**  This is my first try using McLinky and I know I don't have a bunch of followers, but as time goes on hopefully more people will be able to share what they are thankful for here.

Yesterday the kids and I went on a walk. Normally this would be a ten minute walk, but Jeremy left for work with the umbrella stroller in the car, and I wasn't about to lug out the double stroller with how pregnant I am right now, so it turned into an hour and a half walk!

I wasn't sure how Nayeli would do as she is only a year and a half, but to my surprise it was a wonderful little adventure!
The kids noticed a few leaves on the ground and decided to take a break from walking and just sit and play.
I was so grateful for the time out of the house, the overcast sky, (it's hot at 38 weeks pregnant!) and my beautiful little children. Their curiousity amazes me. When we moved on from the leaves we found some crazy little bugs and I think the children enjoyed those as much as the leaves.
I enjoyed it all! Thank God for the changing of the seasons, adventurous little souls, and clouds. :-) Go figure. ;-)
It's YOUR turn!  Please join in for Thankful Thursday!  Let the world know what good is in your life!
Linking through McLinkey will close at 7:20pm tomorrow Pacific time.
And when you blog about it please don't forget to mention where you first heard about it, so others too can share their stories through McLinkey here.  :-)
