A Year and a Half

Now, at 1.5 years old, Nayeli is learning some new tricks! She gets in and out of her own bed, out of her high chair when she's done eating, on and off the couch of course. She is starting to count. Her favorite numbers are five and nine. She never stops talking, although what she's saying isn't quite clear. She still hates baths and showers, but thinks water guns and fire crackers are funny. She likes doing things on her own. She's great on stairs, up and down, but if you carry her down a set of them she gets scared... once again, she'd rather do it herself! She loves any music we put on. She will sing or dance to it. When she gets mad she bangs her head on things. :-S

She likes her dah to put her to sleep at night. He pats her tummy and that's what she wants. She isn't afraid to tell on her big brother, and by tell on I mean scream and point. She likes to kiss and cuddle with him too though. :-)

She doesn't act like she needs to be the center of attention, but when she is the center of attention she hams it up. It's entertaining and oh so sweet!

I'd have to say overall she's a pretty cool kid and I'm glad she's mine! :-D Can't wait to see what the next half a year brings. ;-D

Fingerpainting!

We just got done finger painting. It was Nayeli's first time by herself! I think she had fun, and she got VERY messy!

Austin thought the paper we used was the kind you could clean, so he made two nice smiley faces... then tryed to "erase" them with water. We had to wait a while for his paper to dry...

then he decided he wanted to paint on his hands and feet and make prints. I stuck his name and the date on.

I tried to create art for my bedroom. We'll see how it looks when it drys. ;-)

Yay for finger paints!

Sapphire Eyes

I don't have as much time for this blog as I thought I would. I love taking the pictures, and hopefully once I have a good customer base I can post my shoots. Right now I for the most part only have the kids. I can't bring home what I do at Sears. I like what I do on my own better anyway.

the 4th!

We had a great day yesterday! We had a picnic/grilled out hot dogs and corn on the cob. We played at the park, took a break and watched Kung Fu Panda, and then marched to our spot for the fireworks. :-D I thought Jeremy would be stuck at work til after the fireworks but he made it to watch them with us! Tonight I may pick up some discounted fireworks and we'll light them off within the next week. There may be more pictures to come! Enjoy!!

Oh, if for some reason I don't have you on the list to recieve e-mails for the kids individual blogs feel free to see more pix @ http://www.austinegreen.blogspot.com AND http://www.nayabeth128.blogspot.com. :-D

Not Scared of Nothin', No how!

Austin on the 4th!

Austi wasn't scared of the fireworks this year! He had a great time playing and learning how to cook out at our picnic! He didn't want to eat, but he was enjoying family time. He made a friend, Emmy, at the park. They had lots of fun on the merry-go-round.

He was excited all day, and kept asking for ear plugs, but we watched the fireworks from a distance so they weren't all that loud. He had the most fun with a little girl Shauna, he met while waiting for the fireworks to start. She is a year older than him and they chased eachother, played football and raced before the show. They sat on a blanket together to watch the fireworks and described each one. Austin saw a lot of circles. Shauna saw a lot of cupcakes. They liked the pretty colors and when a lot went off at once.

I think next year he may forget he ever thought they were loud and be even more excited! :-D

My American Girl

Nayeli had a nice July 4th this year. I think she wanted to be a little bigger or faster so she could keep up with her big brother but she had lots of fun of her own. At our picnic she got to go down the slide a bunch of times. She can do it all on her own and she loves it!

While Austin found friends to play with before the fireworks show here in Salina, Nayeli entertained herself by playing with some dirt/pebbles.

She wanted to run around but the hill we were on was a little to steep for her. She enjoyed watching the other kids.

Her favorite part of the day though, from what I can judge, was the fireworks. :-) She oohed and ahhed at the "pitty lights." She would say "OH!" when there were booms. She giggled like crazy and I think she thought all the booms were beats because she rocked and danced her baby bottom off! At one point after a number of fireworks went off Nayeli shouted "Oh Man!" It was so cute, especially since no one else was using that phrase. She just pulled it out of nowhere. I'm glad she was scared of the lights or noises.

What a sweet little princess!
