The other day Nayeli was singing da da da da, and it sounded quite similar to Frara Jaca, or so I thought. Then Jeremy says, "Did you hear that?" and he started singing the song. Crazy!!
She keeps trying to stand on her own and climbed up against my stepper stool and started to push it and move her feet. She didn't get very far before her top half got ahead of her bottom half and she fell, it was great she was trying to take steps though!
Lately she has taken a liking to doll babies. She has one we named Lucy and she also likes my old doll Polly. She gets so excited when she sees them, and she talks to them and gives them kisses. It's absolutely precious.

The Past Week
It has been one heck of a week here in Salina, KS. Jeremy and I finally finished moving everything from our old apartment to our new apartment. It's not all put away, but it's all here. We still need to buy a couple more storage units for some of our clothes and the rest of our movies, and we're getting a new couch. This will happen after pay day of course.
On Monday I was in excruciating pain from my toothache, which ER doctors and a clinic doctors tell me it is a cavity and a fractured tooth... Not abscess, not an infection. It is the worst pain I have ever felt in my life... Physically or emotionally... The WORST pain. So yes, I did go to the ER on Monday. They shot some numbing medication into my gums and gave me a narcotic. I'm out of that now, but have a prescription waiting for me when I get done with work tomorrow.
Tomorrow at work I get to dress up for Halloween. I am really excited, but have no idea what I want to be. There are a couple of wigs on sale at work that I'd love to get, but I don't know if we have the money for me to get them... Actually, I don't know if we are willing to spend the money we have for me to get them. :-P It's not like they're all that practical. They'd be fun though. I also get to dress up on Friday, which will work out nice because as soon as I'm done with work I'm going to have to dress up the kids and head off to the neighborhood we'll be trick-or-treating in. I'm excited. The people here are So sweet. :-D
It feels like I have worked A LOT this week. It's been more than I'm used to. Also, I have been trained to "run" self checkout, and it has been pretty stressful, which makes it seem like I've been working more. One of the things I like about working more is that I get to know my co-workers a little bit better. I think that's fun. It's not like I really get to know them, but interacting with the same people everyday is somewhat comforting. :-)
Jeremy and I had a movie night/morning last night after we finished moving everything. We were up forever. It was so nice to get to spend some time together though. This week really has been hectic. I get home from work and he leaves. I miss him!
I've missed the kids a bunch too. Yesterday, after work and after Jeremy left, I took the kids to the park. It was a crisp evening, but walking helped take away the chill. Austin walked the whole way and I was so proud. On the way there we stopped at the pool and spa shop and talked to the women who were working. They were sweet... I've almost come to expect it in people I meet here now. It's completely backwards from California.
Anyway, I played on the playground equipment with Austin and Nayeli watched from the stroller. Then I took her down the slide a couple of times and pushed them both on the swings. We walked a new route home and it was absolutely lovely. I wish I would have known about it sooner, when it was warmer, but I'll get to see it next summer, so I can wait. :-) The path goes alongside a river and under a road. *Sigh.* If only I had a walking buddy to chat with. ;-) Austin is great to chat with these days, but he fell asleep holding his sister in the stroller last night. They are the greatest kids! :-)
I suppose I should put away some more things in this great new apartment! I can't wait to have visitors and show off my place. :-D

Our New Place
Over the past couple of days we have been moving into our new apartment. It's two bedrooms and very cozy! The kids room/nursery is HUGE! It's great for both of them to share and play in. It has bright red carpet and is pretty much the only room in the place that is how it's going to be for the next year or two, give or take a few toys.
The kitchen is nice, it's a little bigger than Jeremy's was. The shelves are super high but we got me a step ladder! We also got stools to eat at the counter b/c there's not really a place we preffered the card table to be.
The living room is lovely. It's very open and spacious. :-D We got a couple of new things for it to make it a bit more baby proof and hopefully that proves true. We just picked up the stuff last night so I haven't had the chance to see what Nayeli does around it.
I haven't been to work yet... I had a meeting form 6:00-6:30 and then I was awake. It's been about an hour though, so maybe I'll eat something and hit the hay. ;-)
It's a beautiful day!

Technical Difficulties
:-(
It seems that the links to the pictures for Nayeli's blog has been broken. :-S
All the text updates on Nayeli are still available, as are the slideshows, but the pictures are gone. Now, lucky for me I have all of the pictures saved on a hard drive and a photo website. If anybody who reads this is interested in older photos of Nayeli let me know and I'll send you what I can!
Sorry.

Another Monday Has Passed
Ack! I was suppose to get into the dentist today, but they gave me the run around. Bah to health care! Luckily, the past two days have been tolerable. Hopefully next week Tuesday is the day and hopefully the pain doesn't come back full force by then. :-S
Jeremy and I have a new addiction. McDonalds Monopoly online. We've both agreed however that after November 3rd. MCaDee Days must be limited. I'm pretty sick of the food already, and Jeremy is too, but the game is fun. I don't like real Monopoly. It's aggravating though... I'm not fond of gambling, which I feel it is to an extent.
Tomorrow we're moving to a two bedroom. Same building, just downstairs and not up. Austin is excited that he'll be getting his own space! I'm excited for some of my own space as well. And, I won't have to go outside and around the building to do laundry anymore!! :-D Ah yes, it's the small things in life. ;-)
I have been having an incredibly difficult time falling asleep before five A.M. these past few weeks. :-S And days like today, when I have to be to work be six, that just doesn't fly. But I survive and the world goes on turning, so I'm grateful for that.
We didn't make it to church on Sunday. Austin was sick and didn't sleep at all the night before, and I also didn't sleep and I worked six A.M. to nine A.M. continuing the trend of no sleeping. I'm really hoping to fix that A.S.A.P. :-P
It's been rainy and cloudy here for the past two weeks at least, almost continuously. It's alright, I enjoy the coolness and the rain. I miss the sun and the park a little bit though, and Austi gets so stir crazy. Fridays are open gym at church and I'd really love to make it to that. We missed last Friday, but we're gonna try again this Friday. I don't work, so I should be a little rested.
I found myself slighty "home-sick" for family this past week. I miss my little brother and my mom. I wish Isaiah could live by/with me. And I wouldn't mind being a little closer to mom, but I'm glad to be where I am. I really love that I have had the chance to live in so many different places in my life. I love meeting new people and I've had plenty of opportunity to do it.
My alarm is going to go off in 15 minutes and I think I might like to get a headstart on it. I'm hoping to get a lot done today! Work won't be such a bad way to start. I like being friendly to people in the morning and get their day started right. :-D Whoo hoo!

Austin's Not so Happy Meal
Austin got a happy meal tonight with no toy. Poor kid. I drove the 30 seconds it takes to drive to McDonalds and got him it. I mean, without the toy it's just a meal. Here are some new pictures. :-)
This was colored by Austin with a normal pencil and an orange colored pencil. :-D He loves talking about heros and know that firefighters and police officers are heros, along with the ones he sees in his coloring books or in movies. He likes playing pretend and "rescuing" me so he can be my hero. I don't mind at all cuz I think he's the best hero there ever was and I'm very glad he's mine! ;-)
When I wasn't looking Austin drew some bugs and a hockey stick. Honestly when I find his artwork lying around I think someone else must have done it until I remember no one else is around. That is of course after questioning Jeremy. But then I see Austin creating right in front of me and I have to believe. :-)
Austin got "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" Veggie Tales movie from Jeremy as an early birthday present. He drew a picture of the "killer cheese curls."
These are the actual cheese curls from the movie. They're hysterical!
Austin outside playing with dead dandilions. Like any little kid he likes blowing them apart and watching the pieces float away.♥
He's got the cutest cheeks ever! I love his little face!

Fish Tycoon
Jeremy and I recently got into playing online games together. One that we really enjoyed was Fish Tycoon. Jeremy decided the full version might be more satisfying for us, so he got it!
In the game we get to buy fish eggs and watch our fish grow. We have to prevent or fight disease in the fish and feed them, and find seven magic fish. There are 400 combinations of fish we can make and Jeremy seems very intent on discovering every breed. :-) :-P
I made a little section in one of my notebooks to keep track of the specific fish we have "found." Yes, I'm a little OCD with the game too. The part I enjoy though is making money when we sell our fish.
We are so addicted to this game that when I go to bed at night I see fish and bubbles when I close my eyes. I also have dreams pertaining to the game. It's ridiculous!
I've found the past couple of days I've been a little less interested in the game, although when Jeremy comes up with cool new combinations I'm back staring at the computer again. :-P I like it when we're playing the game and have a little while to wait for our new batch of fish to be born, because then we get to play other online games together and some of them are really fun.
We've played Family Fued, Texas Twist <-- I think that's the name, and one called Jojo's Fashion Show. I was never really into playing online games but I like it sometimes. :-D It's a fun thing to do together and actually sort of relaxing! :-)

Bumps, Bruises and More!
Nayeli is growing up in leaps and bounds! Early this morning I noticed a tooth has finally broken through! I was wondering why her gumming on me was starting to hurt so much more. I thought her jaw just got stronger. :-P Last weekend was the princess' first visit to a zoo. She was more interested in the other zoo goers than the animals, but there was an orangatang who was very interested in her. Her big brother picked out a cute little pumkin for her and helped her color it while we were there. Afterall what fun would a Pumpkin PaZOOla be without pumkins. ;-)
She likes to mimic very much and has said things like, "bite mama." :-S She LOVES to sing. At church on Sunday there were at least three songs she kept singing even after the music had stopped. All one has to do to get her to start is hum or sing a few lahs or dahs. :-D I love her little voice!
She's been able to interact a little more when we go out lately with her newish abilty of being able to pull and hold herself up. She really enjoys interacting with other little kids. It's so fun seeing her pretty little face light up when she's excited about something. Ah, but along with the standing is falling and my poor little munchkin develops a couple new bruises everday it seems. :-S
We've been trying more and more foods and I think if she gets a few more teeth she'll be eating along with the rest of us all the time. It's fun watching the messes she makes when I give her food and let her play. It's sort of fun watching her make messes even if I don't give her something. She's such a little explorer!

Monday Ritual
Monday is Jeremy's only day off. Recently I changed my availability at work so that I was open to work Monday's considering Jeremy is willing to watch the kids. This has had a slight effect on our Monday ritual of going out to do something fun as a family. We still do something "special" together. It's just that our time frame is shorter.
Last night we all went to McDonalds during my lunch break. Jeremy had the kids dressed and ready to go when I pulled in the driveway. Nayeli was in this adorable polk-a-dot outfit and Austin was in a striped shirt with shorts that almost matched and the only shoes that could be found.
Austin ran into McDonalds when we arrived ranting about what toy he wanted. It was an excited rant. He bumped into a woman as he was running in and she said, "Excuse me," in a kind tone, he paused turned and said, "Oh! Thank you," then ran off to decide what toy he wanted most. :-)
Jeremy and I decided to try new sandwiches. He got the club and I got the BLT ranch. Mine was delicious, his was Okay. It's so fun to eat with him because he doesn't mind sharing or mixing and matching our food. It's great being able to try two meals in one visit. I think it's sort of funny, and super sweet when I like what he got better than what I got and he gives me his. :-) Such a sweety!
Nayeli sat in a highchair for the first time while we were out. She had a couple of french fry segments, pieces of my sandwich bun and some lettuce. :-D She's getting so big! Austin played with the car he got most of the time, but ate the rest after they went back home after dropping me back off at work.
Ahh, on the way out of the parking lot my soda flew off the top of the car. It's hard putting two kids in the car, thinking your going to be late for the second half of your shift and remembering to grab your soda before you get in the car. Well, at least it's hard for me. Jeremy didn't forget to grab his drink though, so I got to sip on that after eating a few more frys in the car. :-) Yay for scheduled family time. :-D

Trying Something New
Today Austin got to go to a pre-K class at a church we decided to look into. His teacher was Miss Lisa and he sang songs, did a craft, had a snack and played! He didn't want to leave when I came in to pick him up. We stayed for another two hours for a newcomers luncheon and met some other kids and moms. I even think I met a girl who may be able to babysit! She is 12 and her dad is the pastor. I talked to her mom and the kids would be at the family's house.
This Thursday or Friday there is an open gym at the church and as much as Austin loved it today I think it would be great to get him down there again. :-D

Church
Today the kids and I went to try out a church in town. Jeremy had work so he couldn't make it. We were planning on visiting a different church but a few days ago at the mall I met a woman who asked if I went to a church yet and when I mentioned this weekend I was going to try one she mentioned hers. It just so happens she's the third or fourth person I've met who has mentioned this church. I like to think I can take a hint, so I decided I would try this one first.
It was really nice. The sermon was pleasant, the music was great and I think I already love the people. Normally I am very uncomfortable visiting churches. I don't like not knowing anyone and honestly, some churches are weird and send off bad vibes.
This one wasn't bad at all, and I may be jumping the gun because I desperately want to belong to something out here, but I already feel like they're family. (To a small degree.) And I suppose that's true because we are all brothers and sisters in Christ. :-)
Anyway, Austin went to Junior Church and I took Nayeli to the main service with me after sitting in with Austin for a few minutes. We all had a nice time and attended a newcomers luncheon afterwards.
It was slightly akward but I talked with a woman named Corrie and saw another lady I felt I might click with, not to mention the woman who last invited me. Her name is Darcy and I sat with her. Her husband plays guitar in the band.
There's an open gym this coming Thursday or Friday for pre-schoolers and I'd really love to get Austin involved. There are also several other things for moms throughout the month. I'm really excited and hope that it continues to be as enjoyable as it was today! :-D

The Zoo!
Today we all went to the zoo for the "Pumpkin PaZOOla!" Kids were free with a paid adult and we only have one kid that costs anything, so it worked out nice. :-) Each of the munchkins got a pumpkin. Austin colored his at a table while we were there and he is going to color Nayeli's as soon as a find a permanent marker. ;-) He was adorable while deciding which one to get. He didn't even really want one until he saw other kids coloring on theirs. Then he decided it might not be such a bad idea.
It was Nayeli's first time at the zoo. She didn't get too excited over the animals, but she loved all the other little kids that were there. She behaved super well, we were very impressed!
Austin did a really good job walking around so much. He loved seeing all of the animals and smiled most of the time we were there. The only time he didn't smile when he was begging us not to leave. :-S He fed a giraffe, a couple of goats, and some sheep. He also got very close to a goose and a big tortoise. He loved the reptile and amphibian room with the snakes and frogs. There were some frogs in there that looked just like mint chocolate chip. It was crazy!!
I was impressed by the Indian Rhino in a barn and the huge camels. I liked the timber wolves too.
Oooh, near the end of our visit Austin got to crawl into the bear cage. He was in a little protective glass thing inside the cage, but it was awesome and he loved doing it. He went through three times!
It was a beautiful day and a fun Autumn activity! I'm so glad we got to go! Pictures will be up as soon as I can get them off my phone! ;-)
It was Nayeli's first time at the zoo. She didn't get too excited over the animals, but she loved all the other little kids that were there. She behaved super well, we were very impressed!

I Like to Eat, Eat Pizza and Bananas!
Nayeli can say pizza now! And, she has said, "banananana," when I was saying banana to her and feeding her bananas. :-) She really wanted to feed herself tonight, so I let her give it a whirl. I think she enjoyed it. :-) She really likes to be up lately, so she has a few new bumps and bruises every day or so, but hopefully she finds her balance soon and that stops. I feel so bad for my midget. :-S
Below is a picture of her after she pulled herself up in her pack n' play. I heard there was some disbelief as to whether she could do this or not, I hope the photo puts all questions to rest. ;-)
