If you read all that you see how I responded. I had to leave the group after my last comment. I was trying to find unlike after people were arguing that I was wrong, but I kept getting notifications and felt inclined to continue sticking up for my beliefs. In 15 minutes I was ONE of over 1500 people who decided to take a stand, granted all of them were not online within those 15 minutes.
I honestly don't believe it was a funny post... I was hoping that the author of the page would rethink what he/she posted, but that came up a mute point.
I hope I handled the situation well. I hope that I can continue to be a voice for Kheaven, and others. And I hope that some time my feelings, and the sharing of my feelings will cause people to reflect and maybe make a change for the better.
On a lighter note, not all of my blogs are going to be like this and the previous one. These are just the issues that I have found I MAKE time to blog about.

Good for you. Taking a stand is what we should do.
I agree that people need to stick up for others more often and not just sit by idly, when they know something is wrong! Good for you :-) I don't mind people standing up to me in the slightest if they are actively and passionately standing for something they believe in!
I've noticed that since working special needs kiddos I have become more sensitive to certain things in relation to all of them (not just DS but all special needs). However, I will admit that I have also learned to take most things with a grain of salt as most people never interact with any special needs persons EVER and when they do they are so afraid of them! I guess I'm used to being around people who are different in all ways but most people aren't. I've found that I just learn to have a sense of humor about it all and not think much of it, but speak up when someone is being intentionally rude or condescending. I've recognized how ignorant people are when it comes to others who are different, especially those who are different in the sense of having disabilities of all shapes and sizes.
But Amy, I commend you SO much for taking a stand. I wish others did it more often.
