Thankful Thursday and 4 of 52!

Today is the first time I'm participating in Sonya's Thankful Thursday over at Truth for the Journey. 

I am thankful for SO much, but right now the following is what is specifically on my mind!

1.  I am thankful that Kheaven's cirumcision went well today.  I was so nervous about it and I am so grateful it is done and there were no complications.

2.  I am thankful for my family doctor.  I have been reading the book "Gifts" for the past couple of weeks, and their are so many families who find out about their child's diagnosis of down syndrome in a less than desirable manner.  I am very lucky to have the doctor I do.  He was very compassionate while telling me of Kheaven's DS markers, and he was very positive when the outcome came back that K does have DS.  I feel so very blessed because of the way he has reacted to it all, especially reading about how a lot of others were treated when they found out.

3.  I am sooo thankful that I have family coming to visit tomorrow!  and yet more family coming in a little over a week.  :-D

4.  I am thankful for all the new friends I have been making...  online, offline, everywhere!  I am thankful there are people in the world I can relate to on all sorts of different levels.  I am thankful I have the chance to meet and interact with these people.  This week I am especially grateful for the friends I have made who are specifically my age and who are in similar places in their lives.  :-D  Yay!

5.  I am always thankful for the life I have with my children.  The other night while Kheaven was asleep I had the chance to wrap my arms around both Austin and Nayeli as we cuddled and watched the Santa Clause.  I am thankful that my children are so cuddly and lovey, and I am thankful they have a long enough attention span to let me hold them for almost an hour.  ;-)  They're all so wonderful! 

One more thing I'm thankful for...

It's really too bad that it's sooo apparent how much I'm lacking sleep.

Actually, it's how much I look like I'm lacking sleep. 

Kheaven's only been waking up twice a night for the past few days!

My mind is on babies!  That includes me as a baby.  :-)
This is a picture of me before I could take any pictures myself.

(I happen to think we look a little similar as babies!  :-D)

Photos of Me, the Mom: 38 of 52

This is week is just full of Blogger firsts! Today is a day I get to remember myself! Usually... Okay, almost always I am the one taking pictures, I can't say it's much different with pictures of myself, but once in a while I catch a break. I don't mind so much considering I am trying to make a business out of "Aymz Photography," but it's nice to sit back and remember some good times with the kiddos, and myself!

Since this is my first "Photo of Me" post I figured I get a pic with each of the munchkins in!

AND: Even though it is my 1 of 52 picture, I wanted to title it with the week, not the amount of weeks I've been doing it. ;-)

My first picture was taken back in 2006. Austin and I were headed off to the first birthday party he was ever invited to. His friend Michael was turning one and it was a Pirate themed b-day party! One of my bestest buds Danielle broke out her Nikon 10.2mp camera and snapped a few shots before we left. It was a beautiful day, and a great pic by Danielle, if I do say so myself. I love Austin's face, and that he's probably thinking, mom, WHY is this thing stuck on my ear?! (It didn't stay on for long.


This picture was taken earlier this year, just five days before Nayeli turned one! I can't believe how much her hair has grown since then... My gosh, I can't believe how much SHE's grown since then! Time goes so fast! While I make sure to have great focal contact with the camera, Nayeli is interested in other things. It's probably her zany brother or her goofy "Dah." ;-)


And THIS picture is probably one of the last of me with baby #3 in utero. He should be here any day and while pregnancy hasn't been the most wonderful experience (yet again) I am looking forward to this little bundles arrival!
